RESEARCH INTERESTS

I'm interested in solving hard problems using a variety of computational methods and frameworks. Currently, my lab's research falls under the umbrella of math biology, including comparative biomechanics, physiology, numerical methods for PDE, and uncertainty quantification.

Recently, we've been creating and analyzing models of aquatic locomotion using CFDmachine learning, and HPC while still developing popular software tools for the greater scientific community.

Some Buzzwords:

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics and Fluid-Structure Interaction

  • Machine Learning (e.g., surrogate or reduced-order modeling)

  • Sensitivity Analysis and Uncertainty Quantification (e.g., polynomial chaos expansions)

  • Numerical Optimization (e.g., multi-objective optimization)

  • Scientific Computing and Numerical Analysis
